ALL ABOUT THE COLD SALT SPA

Our cold salt spa has a very high salt concentration which simulates the effects of sea water. This draws out fluids, reduces swelling and promotes healing. This high concentration of salt also keeps the water from freezing while it feels like -15*C on the horse’s legs. This nice and icy temperature can greatly reduces heat, pain and inflammation.

In addition, the Aeration in the water increases the oxygen in the water, providing a massaging effect. This beneficial relaxation reduces stress and in return the body and mind are healing together. The water pressure helps to disperse accumulated fluids in the legs, another very useful tool in reducing possible swelling.

Most horse’s stay in the salt spa for 20-30 minutes per treatment and come out feeling amazing. The cold effect on their legs has been researched to remain present for up to six hours post treatment.
